What Specific Regulations Do Axial Fans Have On Bearing Temperature Limitations

May 17, 2024 Leave a message

The specific regulations for the temperature restrictions of axial flow fans on bearings are as follows:
Normal operating temperature range:
The normal working temperature of rolling bearings should not exceed 70 ℃, and the instantaneous maximum temperature should not exceed 95 ℃ (refer to Article 1).
The normal working temperature of sliding bearings should not exceed 75 ℃ (refer to Article 1).
Bearing temperature rise limit:
The temperature rise should not exceed 55 ℃ (i.e. the bearing temperature minus the ambient temperature during testing) (refer to articles 1 and 2).
Different standards and specifications also have different regulations on bearing temperature rise and maximum temperature, such as:
GB3215-82: During pump operation, the maximum temperature of the bearings shall not exceed 80 degrees.
JB/T5294-91: The temperature rise of bearings shall not exceed 40 degrees Celsius above the ambient temperature, and the maximum temperature shall not exceed 80 degrees Celsius.
JB/T6439-92: When the pump is operating under specified conditions, the outer surface temperature of the bearing should not be higher than the temperature of the conveying medium by 20 degrees, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 80 degrees.
Other standards and specifications are similar, but the specific values may vary (refer to Article 2).
Vibration speed effective value limit:
The effective value of vibration speed of bearings should not exceed 6.3mm/s (refer to Article 1). However, please note that the limit values may vary for different fans or standards.
Emergency shutdown conditions:
If abnormal situations such as rapid temperature rise, severe vibration or impact are found in the bearings of the axial flow fan, emergency shutdown inspection must be carried out (refer to Article 2).
Other precautions:
During the operation of axial flow fans, attention should be paid to preventing the erosion of condensate or corrosive gases to avoid damage to bearings (refer to Article 4).
Regularly inspect and maintain the axial flow fan, including cleaning the bearings, replacing lubricating oil, etc., to ensure that the bearings operate within the appropriate temperature range (refer to Article 4).
Summary: The limitations of axial flow fans on bearing temperature mainly include normal operating temperature range, bearing temperature rise limit, vibration speed effective value limit, and emergency shutdown conditions. During the operation process, relevant standards and specifications should be strictly followed to ensure the safe and stable operation of the axial flow fan.
