Today, let's take a look at the key points of fan selection. Fans are different from other products, and their usage time is usually several years, or even more than ten years. Axial flow fans also have varying prices. Therefore, when choosing fans, we should choose suitable and cost-effective fans. The first step is to determine the model and number of the fan, as well as the required power, based on the two basic parameters of the required fan's air volume and pressure, through the performance table of the fan (relevant data is provided in the product manual of each fan). In this case, there may be more than one product that meets the supply requirements; We then combine the purpose, process requirements, and operating conditions (usage scenarios) of the fan to select the type, model, and structural material of the fan to meet the required working conditions. We strive to make the rated flow rate and rated pressure of the fan as close as possible to the flow rate and pressure required by the process, so as to make the operating point of the fan close to the area of fan performance during operation.
The specific principles are as follows:
① Before selecting a fan, it is important to understand the production and quality situation of domestic fans, such as the variety, specifications, and different uses of the produced fans, and to understand the current domestic fan market.
② Choose ventilation fans for different purposes based on the different physical and properties of the gas conveyed by the ventilation fan. If transporting explosive and flammable gases, explosion-proof ventilation fans should be selected, and the required explosion-proof requirements for the fans should be determined; Dust removal or coal powder conveying should choose dust removal or coal powder ventilation fans; For conveying rusty gases, anti-corrosion ventilation fans should be selected, and the anti-corrosion material should be determined to be fiberglass or PP, etc; When working or transporting high-temperature gases in high-temperature environments, high-temperature ventilation fans should be selected, and the environmental temperature and the temperature of the transported gas should be understood.
③ When there are two or more types of ventilation fans to choose from on the performance chart of ventilation fan selection, the one with higher conclusion rate, smaller fan number, and larger adjustment range should be selected first. Of course, cost-effectiveness can also be compared and decided after weighing the pros and cons.
④ If the diameter of the selected fan impeller is much larger than that of the original fan impeller, in order to utilize the original motor shaft, bearings, and supports, the starting time of the motor, the degree of the original fan components, and the critical speed of the shaft are calculated.
⑤ When selecting a centrifugal fan, when the motor power used is less than or equal to 75KW, it is not necessary to install a valve for starting. When selecting a centrifugal boiler induced draft fan to discharge high-temperature flue gas or air, a valve for starting should be installed to prevent overload during cold operation.
⑥ For ventilation systems with noise requirements, the first choice should be to choose ventilation fans with high conclusion rate and low impeller circumferential speed, and make them work at the conclusion rate point; Corresponding noise reduction and vibration reduction measures should also be taken based on the propagation mode of noise and vibration generated by the ventilation system. The vibration reduction measures for ventilation fans and motors can generally adopt vibration reduction foundations, and different vibration reduction equipment can be selected according to the installation method of the fan.
⑦ When selecting ventilation fans, it is advisable to avoid using them in parallel or series. When unavoidable, axial fans should choose ventilation fans of the same model and same energy to work together. When using series connection, there should be a pipeline connection between the class ventilation fan and the second class ventilation fan.
