Automatic Smoke Vent is a device that is automatically opened or manually opened. It is usually closed and can automatically open and exhaust smoke in case of fire. It is usually installed on the exterior wall or roof of a building. The main function of Automatic Smoke Vent is to discharge the smoke and hot gas generated by the fire, reduce the temperature of the fire scene, prevent the spread of the fire, and also avoid the death of the victims in the fire scene due to the lack of oxygen caused by smoke.
According to the different control methods, Automatic Smoke Vent can be divided into plate smoke vent, multi-leaf smoke vent, remote control multi-leaf smoke vent and multi-leaf fire smoke vent. Among them, the plate smoke exhaust port is generally installed on the ceiling or wall, and the multi-leaf smoke exhaust port is normally closed. In case of fire, it can be manually opened and reset, or remotely opened and reset.
In high-rise civil buildings, Automatic Smoke Vent should be located on the ceiling of the smoke prevention zone or on the wall near the ceiling, and the horizontal distance from the farthest point of the smoke prevention zone should not exceed 30 meters. The smoke outlet should be closed at normal times, and can be opened manually in case of fire, or automatically opened by remote control of the fire control room or linkage with the alarm. The mechanical exhaust port and the exhaust fan should be equipped with an interlocking device. When any exhaust port is opened, the exhaust fan can be automatically opened.
