Automatic Fire Damper

Automatic Fire Damper

The Automatic Fire Damper is normally open and closes at 70°C or 280°C. It is typically installed in air ducts passing through firewalls to shut down airflow during a fire. An output signal can be set to trigger valve closure when the temperature exceeds the threshold, linking to shut down the supply (or supplement) fan.
Product Introduction

Automatic Fire Dampers are vital safety components integrated within building ventilation and HVAC systems. Designed to automatically close in the event of a fire, they effectively block the passage of flames and smoke through ductwork. Triggered by heat-sensitive elements, these dampers typically activate at around 280°C, responding swiftly without the need for manual operation. Their reliable performance plays a key role in enhancing overall fire safety, protecting occupants, and minimizing property loss during emergencies.

Product Advantages

High Temperature Resistance

Automatic Fire Dampers are made from high-quality materials, such as stainless steel or galvanized steel, which exhibit excellent high temperature resistance. Specifically, they maintain structural stability without deformation at temperatures up to 500℃, far surpassing the standard 280℃ tolerance of typical dampers. This ensures reliable functionality even in extreme fire conditions, effectively preventing the spread of fire.

Strong Sealing and Significant Waterproofing

The design of Automatic Fire Dampers emphasizes detail, with special sealing technology used between blades and at joints with the frame to ensure robust sealing in humid or dusty environments. Test data shows a watertightness rating of IP65, meaning it can withstand water jet impacts from any direction without being affected. Additionally, good sealing helps extend the overall lifespan of the damper.

Long Lifespan Design

Thanks to the use of corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant materials combined with precision manufacturing processes, Automatic Fire Dampers have an extended service life. Compared to traditional products with an average lifespan of 5-10 years, this damper is optimized for a projected usable time of over 15 years. This reduces maintenance costs and provides a more economical choice for users.

Easy Installation and Maintenance

Considering the need for convenience in practical applications, Automatic Fire Dampers are specifically designed with a modular structure, making on-site assembly quick and easy. They also feature user-friendly access doors, facilitating routine inspections and cleaning. This is particularly important for projects requiring frequent movement or relocation.

Rapid Response Mechanism

The built-in fuse device uses highly sensitive thermal elements that quickly trigger the closing mechanism when the set temperature threshold is reached. Compared to traditional products, our damper's response time is reduced by 40%, significantly improving emergency reaction speed during fires.

Product Installation Guide

Preparation
Before installation, ensure all necessary tools and materials are ready. This includes the damper itself, mounting brackets, screwdriver, wrench, drilling equipment, and sealant. Also, check that the product packaging is intact and confirm that all parts are complete and undamaged.

Positioning and Marking
Determine the installation position of the damper according to architectural design drawings or actual site conditions. Use a laser level or other measuring tools to accurately mark the installation points on the duct. Ensure these marks are on the centerline of the duct and at the required height from the ground.

Drilling and Fixing
Drill holes at the marked positions using an electric drill, with the hole diameter slightly larger than the expansion bolts for easier installation. Insert the expansion bolts into the holes and tighten them with a wrench to ensure they are secure and reliable. Then, install the mounting brackets on the expansion bolts and adjust to the appropriate height and angle.

Damper Installation
Place the automatic damper on the mounting brackets and fine-tune its position by adjusting the screws on the brackets to align perfectly with the duct. Be careful not to apply excessive force to avoid damaging the damper surface. Once the position is adjusted, secure the damper to the brackets with a screwdriver or wrench.

Sealing
To improve system airtightness and fire resistance, seal the joint between the damper and the duct. Apply an appropriate sealant to the joint, ensuring it covers evenly and fills all gaps. After the sealant dries and cures, check for any omissions or uneven areas and reapply if necessary to ensure complete sealing.

Function Test
After completing the above steps, perform a function test to ensure the damper works correctly. Manually operate the damper several times to observe if it opens and closes smoothly; then simulate a fire condition (e.g., using a heat source near the fuse device) to check if the damper automatically closes and stops airflow. If everything is normal, the installation is successful; otherwise, recheck the installation process and resolve any issues.
